chinny chin chin....

i just wish i could pull off looking as absolutely cool as these kids!

using repurposed and vintage fabrics to create these stunning designs, esther croak of chinny chin chin, has me absolutely entranced... wish they came in my size

you can check out her lovely blog as well

a few words from esther about her work:

"chinny chin chin is my line of original progressive children's clothing. i believe in the merit of working with repurposed and vintage fabric as a way of being gentler on the earth's resources. cutting patterns from quality, repurposed garments or linen infuses the clothing with meaningful layers of existence."

and, it looks as if sewing patterns will soon be made available in her shop... can't wait

a time gone by...

how excited i was to happen upon this new etsy seller, threadwren

using sustainable and recycled materials, liza's designs evoke a time gone by... a vintage simplicity.  clean lines, nature inspired colors, sumptuous textures and patterns

(i really just want to live in the world she has created through her pictures!)

although new to etsy, liza has been designing and selling her children's clothing locally for several years in maine.  she also runs a local shop, with friend and business partner, longwinterfarm (another wonderful seller of all natural soaps and beauty products)

gentle for the young...

Here is my new treasury, titled "gentle for the young...or young at heart"
All of these lovely items were picked from my existing favorites list on etsy. I love how wonderful they all look showcased together! I must be naturally drawn to these similar soft, gentle colors and sweet images
