as i mentioned in my last post, the wait to find a new place to call home finally paid off! found this lovely duplex, just a few steps away from grant park, here in atlanta (and the grant park farmer's market and zoo atlanta!)
this past sunday, my wonderful sis and brother-in-law helped me move in... and while i'm still in the midst of mounds of boxes and dust, i thought i would take a bit of a break this morning and snap a few pictures of the progress so far. mostly of the living room, where i've accomplished the most over the past few days... and, after looking at these images, i feel as if i may have been inspired by the hundreds of times i've read and watched jane austen books and movies ;)
as soon as i have them framed, i'll have to share the lovely austen inspired prints my sister gave me as a house warming gift
still pouring over paint choices for the rooms... how to find the perfect shade of soft, pale gray?! any recommendations are appreciated
but in the meantime...
just starting on the bedroom and kitchen...
and this room will eventually be the dining room/ studio space... but for now, most of the room (just outside of camera range!) is still piled with boxes...
happy wednesday

Love it 8-)
it looks so good already! i can't believe it! you look more move din after three days than i do after 8 months... i'm feeling like a super lazy #$@*!
WOW!! The wait was certainly worth it - it looks PERFECT for you!
Oh my, this is just too awesome!!! All the details - the trim, windows, and the floors. My gawd, the floors!!! Love it!
All the best in your new home. :)
Beautiful!! Love the floors, fireplace, and window. I recommend dove white from Benjamin Moore - looks like a soft gray during the day and at night looks more white.
